Because these ARE the good days.
Hi, I’m Kath, a mum to two girls and many pets. I’ve called Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs home for about 25 years, and it’s where my life, my work, and my sense of belonging have settled.
I love photography. When I’m not taking photos, I’m thinking about taking photos or marvelling at pretty light. It’s just how my brain works.
Photography runs deep in my family. My grandad was a wonderful photographer and gave me my first camera when I was eight.
I also know, very personally, how powerful photographs can be. I lost my mum when I was young, and the images I have of her mean everything to me. Being able to touch a moment that has gone, to return to it, even briefly, is something I never take for granted.
That understanding shapes every shoot I do. Capturing connection isn’t just part of my job; it’s a non-negotiable. I bring a deep understanding of family, of motherhood, and the bonds that hold them together.
When you shoot with me, it doesn’t feel like a “photoshoot.” You will laugh, play, and you will feel like you’ve actually had a moment together. Even dads admit they had fun. Making people feel comfortable and seen is my superpower, closely followed by making good coffee and being on time.
My work is calm, natural, and grounded in real life. I love the ocean, familiar beaches, salty air, and the small rituals that make up family life, holding hands, taking a breath and sharing a joke.
Nothing forced, nothing performative. Just you, as you are, in this season.
I’d love to hear from you and help you capture these fleeting moments, the everyday, beautiful ones, so you can hold onto them long after they’ve gone.
Check out my portfolio of newborn, pregnancy and family portraits to get a feel for my style, and don’t hesitate to drop me a line if I can help with any more information.
